Shamrock Finescale is a new model railway venture bringing enthusiasts and collectors a range of high-quality finescale O Gauge ready-to-run (RTR) manufactured models.

Our UK based commissioning and design team possesses extensive model railway and mainline railway and heritage railway knowledge and operations. Specialising in larger gauges, the company has unique access to rail and travel history experts. Our RTR O gauge model railway carriages and freight wagons are selected through a rigorous and authoritative approach to research covering many rail periods, not just of the inter-war golden age travel era but including present-day modern image railway operations.

Shamrock Finescale brass constructed products enjoy a unique look, feel and character that stands them apart. Our models are manufactured to exacting standards operating faultlessly straight from the box and providing many years of trouble-free operation.

Through extensive consultation, we recognise that many model railway enthusiasts require an individual approach to their collection building. Our wide-ranging products will be subject to limited production runs, but carefully designed and selected around specific themes combining a wide range of complementary models providing enthusiasts and collectors with a bespoke and individual mix and match service.

At Shamrock Finescale we never make an assumption customers will always be familiar with the terminology surrounding the hobby market. This is particularly so with the rapidly expanding numbers of people new to British 0 gauge, and those modellers energised by quality and realistically priced RTR locomotives and rolling stock now on offer. So much so since there are many who have migrated to 7mm modelling making it the third largest UK model railway scale.

And with the legacy of the national Railway 200 celebration now in full flow, we’re also acutely aware of the number of people from overseas who contact us, and occupied by the knowledge that they may be a little less familiar with what has developed over the years in the cradle of railway invention. In order to guide visitors around our site, we’ve introduced a range of iconography to aid identification and product selection. Our models are offered with the following British Railway period classifications.
